Microsoft word find hidden text box

I have been sent a word document which would have been created probably in word , though it is now a. I am using word The document looks fine in word and prints out as it views, but I am uploading it into another programme, at which point I can see various headers which don't show on the original document. If I search for the additional text in word, it finds it or some of it and shows it in a box that it opens at the bottom of the document - it says they are headers.

But if I look in the word document at the header where the text should be, it is blank. If I delete the text in the box, it doesn't seem to delete it from the document. How do I delete them?
